The 2018 Season is Upon us -

This year will be a year of first for the West Tennessee Puddle Jumpers, as we have a new lake to open up the season (Bay Springs in Tishomingo, Mississippi), and we have eclipsed the 40 mark as far as the number of "sticks" goes that is competing throughout this years schedule (2 man teams, close to 80 fishermen and women!!!). Our Winter has been mild by all reports, but I have heard, seen, and felt that there have been plenty of ICE COLD days throughout December and January, so it will be interesting to see how this will effect the fishes movements as the weather gets better, and we have extended sunlight each and every day into Spring and Summer.

Never fished it, but can't wait -

Bay Springs is not a place I have ever fished, so I am really looking forward to venturing out on a new body of water (new to me). It is supposedly very clear, but this has also been a pretty wet few months (Nov. - Jan.) throughout the Mid-South, and many of the lakes and streams I am familiar with have had their fair share of swollen water. The "Haulin' Bass" team of Will Bass and Mark Hardin will have our work cutout navigating new water in search of big Spots and quality Largemouth...

Ready to hit the water -

So, the rods have all been cleaned up, and dusted off (yea right!), and re-spooled with fresh new mono and fluorocarbon, the only thing missing is me, on the front deck of my bass boat! The first tournament will undoubtedly have a great turnout, and I know that all of the other Puddle Jumpers out there are as anxious as I am to hit the water, and get this year off to a great start!
